Both Sket Dance and Gintama are gag series about people trying to help each other. Both have a protagonist who seems like a good-for-nothing but really cares about his friends, and both sometimes stop the hilarious comedy for a serious or really sad episode. Oh, and both ran in Shonen Jump, so both have the common themes of 'friendship, hard work, and victory'.

First, the very purpose of the Yorozuya and SKET-dan are the same: they do anything for their clients.

If you enjoy a good laugh you will enjoy these two series! The Comedy style is nearly the same in both Gintama and in Daily lives of Highschool Boys, it will have you tearing from laughter for the whole episode! Daily Lives of highschool Boys cut's its episode into sketch like snip-bits that are arougn 5 minutes long. Gintama though devotes a whole episode or more to a whole subject, with many jokes inbetween. The voices of some of the main characters are also shared between the two series.

These two animes have a very similar sense of humor. If you enjoy a good comedy anime, you'll like either one!

And if this matters to you at all they share a number of the same voice actors. Gintoki's voice actor is Hidenori, and Sougo's is Yoshitake.

Same voice actors and the same manner of blowing small things way out of proportion for comedical impact. Not that it's a bad thing, it's what makes these two shows very fun and a very worthwhile watch you will not regret.

Gintama is far more crazy, but both it and Hoozuki no Reitetsu share a similar style of comedy. They're random, fun, and overall just really silly. Gintama can get a little serious and even sad at times while Hoozuki shows no signs of that, but if you're looking for some good comedy and nonsense, you may want to look here.

Both have similar Humor and funny and intresting character

The MC of Hoozoki also is much like Gintoki but just dosent have a deep backstory.

The anime also has a vast amount of refrences to Japanese culture just like Gintama

The MC character also has the feeling of not being funny intentionally.

Very similar style, animation and humor. Even the main protaginist is very similar to gintoki with a perpetual deadpan expression.
